BY FACSIMILE Ms. Jane Akre Dear Jane: Pursuant to my letter dated September 30, 1997, this letter is to advise you, on behalfof New World Communications of Tampa, Inc. ("WTVT"), of the status of yoursuspension. The evaluation of the events leading to the suspension has not yet been completed, andno decision has been reached regarding your continued employment with WTVT, other than thenotification of termination without cause that you were sent on September 2, 1997.Therefore, it is necessary to extend the period of suspension. The suspension period shallbe extended through October 20, 1997. You will be compensated at your contractual rate ofpay for the entire period of suspension, from September 30, 1997 through October 20, 1997,unless the period of suspension is concluded earlier or later, in which case, you shall becompensated through whatever earlier or later date shall mark the conclusion of the periodof suspension.
